Campbell University Here I Come ....... !!!

I have been accepted to Campbell University for pharmacy school!

I will start on May 28th and will be working on my master's degree in Clinical Research and working on my pharmacy degree. So ... hopefully once I graduate I will make like trillions of money and do something really cool like finding a cure for cancer!

I will miss everyone at HGW and especially my second set of parents and most importantly best friends Clarence and Susan!

Wanna know what sucks!?!

I work full time not only to pay my rent and bills but to have a higher standard of living then what I would otherwise. I also have school, while I am only taking one class this semester, it is still school. If I was the only person in my life, I really think that it would be "drama free!" Then you throw in friends, family, and boys

.... and ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!

I have no idea how this works either. I really don't think I create that much drama. I definitely know and admit that I can bitch and complain about things. I definitely know that I do create a little drama by blowing things up. But seriously ... the drama that I have to put up with!

The Solution

Remove myself from it. Now, I know that I am not coming up with a NEW idea but I have just discovered that I have to take care of myself first. I cannot worry about anything else besides me because if I did then who would take care of me. So, each day I am continuously trying to remove myself from the HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA that circles around me.

University of Charleston Interview!

Well ... I got back on Saturday from my interview with University of Charleston. I think it went pretty good. I have not been on a real interview ... but I think it went pretty good and have a real shot at getting in. The campus is tiny, though. University of Tennessee has ~30,000. University of Charleston has ~ 1,000 and this is not just the pharmacy students, this is college wide. There is alot to say about a small school though. It seems really nice and the people seem really nice.

Wish me luck on getting in now! I still have that interview with South University on February 16th and I still really want to get in there but it would be nice to have a fall back.

University of Charleston in West Virginia .... Here I come!

Alright y'all .... I have another pharmacy interview with the University of Charleston in West Virginia.

They called me this past Thursday and it's for Friday, February 1st. So it's kinda my 1st pharmacy interview but they were second to call.

I am soooo excited (and really nervous) because this will only increase my chances of actually getting into pharmacy school but not really guarantee acceptance!

Wish my Luck ... I will need it for this one too!!

Funny Things ...

You know when you run through a whole conversation in your head that you may or may not ever have? You have thought it out, ran through different endings and details, and if it does come up you know exactly what to say ....

Why is it then ... when the conversation does come up, you have nothing to say! For instance, a guy asks "Do you think we could ever really make it, do you think we would be good together?" Now, (remember!!) you have already had this conversation with yourself but all you can manage to say is, "I don't know?!"

That's like the perfect answer for any and all subjects that you know the true answer to but don't want to say exactly what your thinking.

That's just amusing to me ... and everyone does it!!

1st Pharmacy Interview!

Alright y'all .... I have my first pharmacy interview February 16th at 1:00 pm with South University!!

I am soooo excited (and really nervous) because this is the school I REALLY want to get into! It's in Savannah, GA and if I am accepted I will start in July! I will finish in three years instead of four so that's awesome!!!

So I will totally keep everyone posted and when I say everyone, I guess that would be Jimmy and Susan since you two are the only people that check out my blog!

Mr. Jackson sure knows how to make a woman feel sooo good about herself. Sorry guys I am such a hopelessly romantic!! I like getting flowers and cards not because it's my birthday, a holiday, or to make-up after a fight but just because! I like the little things that mean so much. For example, if I mention my favorite candy in a conversation one day and the guy buys it out of the blue because he knew I had a bad day and was hoping that it might just cheer me up. No cost, no fuss, just a little effort and thought!

Guys used to be like this. They swept women off there feet with candle lit dinners, rose peddles on the bed, and opening doors. These are all perfect examples. Maybe this comes during the marriage. Maybe I am speaking too soon!

If so, I apologize to all those guys.

I think this may be why none of my relationships work out. I expect this fairy tale and get really disappointed when the guys do not put in enough effort. Someday I guess ... until then I guess I will just keep listening to Alan Jackson!!

Ok ... I have posted a variety of textbooks on half.com, I guess, for the past year. Up until recently, I think I might have sold one. Well since I moved into my new condo, I decided to go through my stuff and try selling it online. "One mans trash is another mans treasure," right? Well I am soooo excited to report that in this week alone I have sold 3 books on half.com and I made my very first auction (which took 2 hours to create!! I'm a Rookie) on eBay for a Victoria's Secret purse and it sold!!! Pretty soon I will have to change my name to the eBay Goddess. Ok ... maybe not change my name just have two different ones!

Susan, aren't you impressed? I am finally eBaying!!

This is the place that I laid in the sun all week and swimming around the pool! It's pretty cool, huh? The building in the activities buildings. It had every game you could image like air hockey, basketball, ping pong table, etc.

Ok ... so hopefully I will get into pharmacy school at South University. The campus is in Savannah, Georgia and I have been looking at different houses seeing if I could even afford one! Well, I found the perfect house so take a look:

Vaca was relaxing but it was hard to get through the week. Every since I have been back, I have unpacked and unpacked and unpacked. That's all I do anymore!!

I can't seem to get anything together with my life ... hopefully I will be hearing from pharmacy schools soon that way at least I can start something where there is a goal and I can just focus on that because I may just goooo crazy!

What I would give to have never been born ... no bills, no work, no problems, no screwing up things!!

Book of the Week!

OK ... so now that I have all this free time since I am off from school and getting settled into my new condo, I have decided to start reading a book a week. For this week, I have chosen "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." Hopefully this book will give me a little insight on the opposite sex! From what I have read, it seems pretty good!!

I think everyone should read it, guys and girls! I keep you posted on the outcome ....

So... I know I just got back from all these vacations, but I am going again! I am leaving Friday for Orlando, Florida and will be back in a week. It's gonna suck that y'all are all going to be working! Wish you could come!

Earthquake!

So one of the last days we were in Hawaii. We woke up to an earthquake about 6:45. It was probably one of the coolest but scariest things I have experienced!

This picture was taken when we island hopped to the Big Island where the most damage was. My parents are standing where the earth had split from the earthquake the previous day.

Black Sand Beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii!

This is a site to see, definitely. It's weird not seeing the white beaches. Turtles are all around this area and actually come up on shore all the time to sunbathe!

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve!

We went here two days for snorkeling. The clear bluish-green areas are where there is just water and sand on the bottom. The dark parts are the rocks with tons of fish, coral, eels, and all kinds of stuff. Totally recommend this if you ever go to Hawaii. It's the most amazing thing ever just swimming around with millions of fish!
